Vial Pendant Pouches History

I have had requests for a way to protect Pendant Vials.  As all Energy Vials are (and must be) glass, they are vulnerable to breakage.  I have been looking for a way to help protect them.

As I looked into what could be done, I wanted to address all CONCERNS associated with Pendant Energy Vials.

I have used chains and cords for working with Pendant Vials.  Chains occasionally have broken, and there has been some concern about clasps on cords either failing or not being easily hooked together.

The cost of Pendant Energy Vials also was something I wanted to address.  Because Pendant Vials cost me more, and require substantially more work and materials, I have to charge extra for them.

With the Vial Pendant Pouches, I have addressed all these CONCERNS and more.

Sometime ago I found a new nylon crochet thread.  The nylon thread is much stronger than regular crochet thread.  Having worked for many years with different types of yarn, I have found the nylon to be invaluable as a strong and durable yarn.  I chose this nylon crochet thread for creating the Vial Pendant Pouches.

My sister asked me to make some Flower Earrings for her.  Eventually, out of the Flowers I developed for those Earrings, came the Flower used for the Flower Pendant Pouch grew.  I have been making crocheted Hearts for many years, and have developed a pattern for Butterflies, and NOW have adapted those as adornments for Vial Pendant Pouches as well.

I looked for a way to create a pouch that was easy to use, didn't require buttons, clasps or drawstrings, could be worked in one piece and would hold the Vials safely and securely.  Using CHARM-LIGHT (as I often do when looking to develop a new pattern), the thought came to me to have a flap that overlaps the bottom from the top, and has the edges sewn down, allowing for easy access to insert and remove the vials, but keeping them securely in place once inside.  My first try proved the design to be PURRFECT.  I have been using Vial Pendant Vial Pouches since the day I completed the first one.  The vials stay securely in place.

I chose to face the pouch flap toward the adornment, which gives an extra layer of security for keeping the vials safely in the pouch.

I chose also to work the Pouch and the chain in one continuous piece, as areas where two pieces are joined tend to be the "weakest link."  The crocheted chain is long enough to go over the head, and also places the Vial securely at the center of the chest, ready for work at any and every moment.

One other advantage of the Vial Pendant Pouch is that Vials can be interchanged easily.  It obviates the need for multiple Pendant Vials.  CHOOSE any vial you want, put it in the Pouch, and have it available to you anytime, anywhere.

CHOOSE from a dozen beautiful colors, which can be mixed and matched with adornments and Pouches to CREATE the presentation you want.
